The Cave
El Coto las Canteras stands out, somewhat oddly, in the middle of the countryside.
It is the only place where the extraction of stone was done by hollowing out a small hill. An almost cavernous space was created, with high and spacious rooms.
This process started in the XVIII century.
The Language of the Stones
The stonemasons left a record by inscribing in the stone the dates that they worked, which are still visible today in the upper parts of the walls.
The excavated stone was used to build up the walls of churches, the facades of noble houses and the walls of modest homes.
Museum: The Mark of the Man
El Coto las Canteras has witnessed the traditions and customs of the town since the early middle ages.
The equipment and tools used to extract and transport the stones are currently on display in our museum.
The Banquet Hall
El Coto las Canteras offers a versatile and authentic space for every event. The interior has a natural constant climate of 22 ºC, with a capacity for 600 sit down dinner guests, 800 seats for recitals and conventions, or 1.400 for standing events.

The Beginning of time
The hill which borders the north and north-east of present-day Osuna served as a quary.
Initially, the extraction was done in the open air. The stonemasons chose a surface area which slowly reduced until reaching strata which, due to its shape, was not suitable for extracting blocks.
The work of centuries has given rise to a fantastic landscape of carved stone, whimsically chiselled.

The grounds are comprised of more than 4000 square meters of gardens in which you will find species indigenous to the area.
